WELCOME TO DORSET GREYHOUND RESCUE
Dorset Greyhound Rescue is the sister branch of Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue. www.clarksfarmgreyhounds.ik.com/ which is a registered charity in its own right & is also the Maldon & Tiptree branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust. Working alongside the RGT & the Friends of Crayford Racing Greyhounds, we take in ex racing/retired greyhounds & find permanent loving homes for them. Thousands of greyhounds retire from racing every year, some are less than 2yrs old, the majority are aged around 3 & 4 yrs old. Many people do not realise that greyhounds make excellent family pets. They are gentle, loving and adapt to homelife easily. Contrary to common beleif they are actually very lazy and only need two 20 minute walks each day.
When homed responsibly they can live with other breeds of dogs and other pets such as cats.
Why not consider one as your next family dog?
All of our greyhounds are neutered, fully vaccinated, flea & worm treated and microchipped. We also provide 4 weeks free pet insurance, a leather collar & lead, and bowl. It costs an average of £388 to rehome a greyhound, so we ask for a minimum donation of £125, all of your donation will go to rehoming another greyhound.
Our expert team at the kennels can work with you to match the right greyhound to your circumstances, as all our greyhounds are fully socialised and cat tested prior to re-homing.
Dorset Greyhound Rescue also offers full post adoption support and behavioural advice.
